Ms Mathopo is a Partner and the Head of the Dispute Resolution and Investigation department at DM5 with over 22 years of experience. Her experience includes dispute resolution and corporate commercial experience. She has also advised in transactions in different sectors and various jurisdictions. She has also advised in both the public and private sectors.

Her experience includes general commercial work, mergers & acquisitions, PPPs and investigations. She has advised in various sectors including telecommunications having advised licensees and regulatory bodies, transport sector in particular the rail sector, energy having advised in renewable energy projects and water sector.

Her public sector experience includes PPPs (feasibility studies and procurement), procurement advisory work (legal opinions and investigations) and investigations.

Ms Mathopo is a fellow of the Cyrus R. Vance Center of International Justice of The New York City Bar.
